The Fine Print

History

Structure

Structure

"Rec Labs" around the US emerged in the 1950's as a response to the need for leadership skill development in both work and social life. The emphasis has always been on experiencing ideas and philosophies in action, over teaching by experts in a classroom setting.

Structure

Redwood Leadership Recreation Laboratory ("Rec Lab") was incorporated in 1971 as a tax exempt organization under Section 501c(3) of the IRS Code.  A Board of Directors is elected annually by the members of Rec Lab and oversees the work of the organization.

Guiding Principles

Rec Lab is guided by the big idea that leadership is best learned by leading.  So, leadership is always shared.  And, learnings are captured by all involved so that we each rise in our skills, maturity and capacity.  Rec Lab is financially and legally responsible and accountable.  And finally, Rec Lab remains aligned with its bigger mission of "Bulding Leaders through Meaningful Connection."

Leadership

Vince Corsaro (L) serves as the Director of Rec Lab.  Monique Baca-Geary (R), serves as Secretary/Treasurer.  Lisa Hosking is an active board member.  Come, join us!
