Rec Lab Experiences

Most forums organize their own retreats at least once per year.  Virtual forums may also gather for a weekend or extended time together.  Just like forum itself, retreats are self-supporting and led by the members of the forum, with guidance from collectively learned recommended practices.

Love to Surf? Ski?  Mountain Bike?  Mixed Forum Experiences allow you to gather with forum members from around the world who share specific interests but are not in the same forum.  Fees are set to cover associated costs and everyone takes a part in leading the experience along with an Experience Facilitator.  Mixed Forum Experiences have been held at California beaches, mountains and deserts, the high country of Colorado, Belfast (Northern Ireland), Armenia, and more.  There are no boundaries!

Rec Lab promotes competency in leadership at all levels.  Training is provided for Forum Moderators as well as Forum Experience Facilitators.  Peer leadership is a powerful tool for learning and is integral to the Rec Lab Experience.  Training is available to all Affiliated Forums.  Contact us for upcoming opportunities:  connect@reclab.org
